Vivo V29e International debut with significant changes Vs Indian version

Vivo V29e:  In a recent move, Vivo introduced the V29e in India in August, boasting impressive features like the Snapdragon 695 SoC and a 64MP camera. Fast forward to now, the tech giant has unveiled an international variant of the V29e, showcasing a few tweaks in design and technical specifications. Let’s dive deep into the differences between the Indian and the global models.

Vivo V29e – Display & Design:

While both models feature an AMOLED display, the international version has scaled down its size to 6.67 inches from the Indian model’s 6.78 inches. The peak brightness on the global model is also slightly subdued, standing at 1,150 nits compared to the 1,300 nits on the Indian counterpart. Notably, the international version does not support the 1 billion colors and HDR10+ features. However, it compensates with a 120Hz refresh rate and an under-display fingerprint scanner for enhanced security.

Battery & Charging:

The battery department witnesses a notable change. The Indian V29e houses a 5,000 mAh battery, whereas the global edition settles for a 4,800 mAh cell. Interestingly, both models retain the same 44W wired charging speed.

Camera:

Camera enthusiasts would find some differences between the two models. Each version is equipped with a trio of cameras – a 64MP primary (with OIS), an 8MP ultrawide, and a 50MP selfie shooter. The distinctions lie in the aperture settings of the primary and selfie cameras. Additionally, the international V29e stands out with its unique circular Smart Aura Light flash.

Additional Features:

The international Vivo V29e opts out of a microSD card slot but proudly flaunts an IP54 rating for water and dust resistance. There’s also a slight change in its Snapdragon 695 chip, with the Kryo 660 Silver core clocked at 1.8 GHz, a tad above the Indian version’s 1.7 GHz. In terms of physical dimensions, the international model is minutely thicker by 0.1mm and slightly heavier by 9g.

The international V29e displays a palette of three colors – black, blue, and gold, with variations depending on the region. Vivo Thailand’s website features the device with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. However, details regarding its price and availability in the Southeast Asian region remain under wraps. For customers in Bangladesh, the V29e is available in an 8GB/256GB configuration, priced at BDT36,999 ($340/€315/INR28,090), offered in gold and black shades.

While both versions of the Vivo V29e showcase state-of-the-art features, the subtle differences cater to the unique preferences of the respective markets. Whether you’re eyeing the Indian or the international variant, Vivo ensures a premium smartphone experience for its users.
